#ForTheWin: Who’s Got Next?

Recently, RiverWalk partnered with a leadership development organization that operates globally around the world servicing thousands of emerging and executive leaders. We were tasked to come alongside a cohort of North American leaders on the topic of organizational succession.
Of particular focus, was helping leaders begin to grasp the impact of succession and to ask the right kinds of questions to ensure the well being of their organization. As we listened and learned with our partners, we agreed the best return on investment would be to spend a half-day up-skilling these leaders virtually.
After collecting feedback from the participants, our key partner who helped us put this together shared “the Class appreciated the way you two worked together, opening lots of space for questions. They also appreciated how you engaged with their questions with careful listening and thoughtful and honest answers. Other affirmations mentioned were the way you challenged them with ideas and questions.”
“The only ‘how could this be better’ feedback received was to share more from your experience and knowledge. My guess is this leader wants the good, bad, and the ugly of cautionary tales.”
